The Systems & Networks Section is responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, expansion, upgradation, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure across the institute. It manages a wide range of system resources, including the server farm, server clusters (including High Performance Computing – HPC), storage systems, desktops and workstations, digital classrooms, and software license servers. On the networking side, the division oversees the campus-wide wired and wireless networks, the telephony network, the CCTV network, and the server farm networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and communication throughout the institute.
It also plays a critical role in maintaining security by implementing server and network security measures, operating system hardening, and Unified Threat Management (UTM) solutions. In addition, the division is responsible for ICT support infrastructure such as power backup systems, cooling systems, and the institute’s data center, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and uninterrupted operation of all IT services.

The division ensures design and equipment standardization, continuity in upgradation paths, ease of maintenance, and seamless integration of all ICT systems.
This division has successfully executed large-scale ICT infrastructure projects and has demonstrated expertise in all phases, including conception, planning, execution, monitoring, and project closure.
The division is also responsible for the design and content management of the Central Computer Center website.
